RANDOM THOUGHTS about LIFE'S PERSPECTIVE
Last month as I was busy processing my requirements, I decided to drop by in National Bookstore to buy some school materials. And being a book lover that I am, I cannot avoid not dropping by the novel/book section of NBS. So I came across this book by Mr. Mark Mason titled, "The subtle Art of not giving a Fuck" that talks about living a good life.
It helps me view things in a different manner and in a way helped me realized the bad and the good things that i personally witnessed not only to the people that I knew, but I've also experienced it first hand. You know, hearing things that are not pleasant to the ears, seeing things that is not in linear to what you believe in and lastly, disregarding what other people would say to you are all easier said than done. It came to a point that I became self conscious to how I look to other people. If what I am saying is right or not? or am I good enough?
Somehow, I became a totally different person when I am in front of other people. I learned how to mask my true self and emotions that is not good for the mental state of a person. I know we have our own different ways on how to deal with the good or bad things that are thrown to us. And at that time, that is how I deal with my own insecurities.
Yes, we all have different dreams, goals, issues and family crisis that we all are experiencing. However, if you will keep on comparing your life to other people and to their achievements, you will eventually loose yourself. It will not only affect your self esteem but also, it might affect your perspective in life.
"Rather, treat the success of others as a challenge and motivation for you to move forward. But also keep in mind that your success and failures will not define you as a person."
So slowly, learn to accept the fact that what you expect to happen, might not happen yet or it might not happen at all. Try to be flexible and open-minded to all the situation or possibilities. So that the impact of that event will not be as big as to what you expected, since you already foresee the other side of that situation.
What I am really trying to say here, is to be yourself and focus only on your self development. Believe me, you will feel light and happy not minding the opinions of others, not unless it is a constructive criticism that will help you become a better version of yourself.

Very good point in this blog. I agreed that you can't compare yourself to others. Everyone is born differently. Just have to focus on your self development and be open-minded and be kind to others.
